Favourite Manga dat boi	So I reinstalled Tinder for a minute just to refresh myself on how me and the bf met. Him: What's your favorite book? 9 times out of 10 I go east of eden. Me: 9 times out of 10? What about the other 1 time? Don't tell me you're a closeted Twilight fan. My favorite book right now is the sun also rises. It's pretty amazing. Him: 1 times out of 10 it's finnegan's wake. Say what?? Oh because the Ernest Hemingway character has a messed up piece? The patriarchy owns. Deal with it. Me: Nah, it's more for the overarching themes of sadness and alcoholism. I can never get enough of that. Him: Oh well I'm a sad sack alcoholic. We're perfect for each other. Plus my piece got f***ed up in the war. Perfecto. Not making that up. It's word for word. Later on I found out that his brother was typing most of that, so I'm not really sure who I fell in love with at first swipe.

They are likely to receive the message 'Hey, what's up?' many, many, many times, so I guess they're looking for someone to stand out. I guess the issue there is that men are tasked with doing the 'chasing', but although that's probably the case more often than not, it's definitely not the case for all women. But yeah, like many others have said, it's only a double standard in the case of the individual expecting something they aren't willing to give and not across the whole gender because men are just as capable of all the things women have been accused of in this topic.
